Green Salad with Avocado and Kiwi Fruit Recipe

A fruity avocado salad recipe

A deliciously fruity salad wonderful for summer nights.


2 large ripe avocados (peeled, pitted and cut in lengthwise slices)
2 large heads Boston lettuce
2 large bunches watercress
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 ripe kiwi fruit (pared and sliced)
1/4 cup toasted sesame seed
2 cup celery (cut diagonally)


2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon peel
3/4 cup salad oil
½ teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon dried mint (crumbled)
3/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Instructions

Make the salad.
Line a large bowl with the large outer leaves of the lettuce.  Tear the remaining leaves into pieces and place in the bowl.  Sprinkle the avocado with lemon juice.  Remove the large stems from the watercress.  Arrange the avocado, watercress, kiwi rounds and celery onto the lettuce leaves.  Sprinkle over with sesame seeds.

Make the dressing.
Combine all the dressing ingredients together, cover and place in refrigerator to chill.

Pour the chilled dressing over the salad and serve.
