Classic Avocado and Tomato Salsa Recipe

Avocado salsa perfect for salmon

This avocado salsa is a cross between a sauce and salad which complements the flavor of salmon.

Ingredients

1 ripe but firm avocado
½ small red onion
2 large firm tomatoes
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 rounded tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
Freshly milled black pepper
A few drops Tabasco sauce
Salt

Recipe Instructions

Prepare the tomatoes.
Remove the skin of the tomatoes by placing them in boiling water for 1 minute, drain the water, wait for the tomatoes to cool off and peel off the skins.  Cut the tomatoes in half and gently squeeze to remove the seeds.  Chop the tomatoes as finely as possible.

Other ingredients.
Halve the avocado and remove the stone and the skin.  Chop the avocado into small pieces.  Peel the onions and chop into small pieces.

Finally, combine everything together in a bowl, adding the seasoning, the lime juice, chopped coriander and a few drops of Tabasco.  Cover with cling film and leave for an hour before serving.

Serve.
Best served with grilled or baked salmon.
